Passed by here today… Controversial little island site that looks as though straight out of “nowhere” Utah or some silver mining operation in Arizona. Nope… It’s surrounded by a lake, baseball fields, a tech center, bike paths, major traffic arteries etc. It’s east Boulder’s dirty little secret. An abandoned toxic clay and rock milling site just east of town. But damn if it isn’t photography eye-candy. Need to sneak in next time and try to grab some up-close and personal shots.
